Hint: Prokaryotes are the organism which does not consist of the well-defined nucleus and do not have membrane-bound organelles present in them. They are microscopic and single-celled organisms.

Complete answer:
Prokaryotes can reproduce sexually through the mode of sexual reproduction in prokaryotes which is known as conjugation. These organisms include bacteria, archaea and cyanobacteria which are single-celled organisms that are composed of single membrane cells. Conjugation is done in bacteria which is known as the bacterial conjugation under which the transfer of the genetic material takes place between the bacterial cell through the direct cell to cell contact or by a connection that is bridge-like between the two cells. Conjugation takes place through a pilus which is a parasexual mode of reproduction in bacteria. The mechanism which does not involve cell to cell contact is the horizontal gene transfer that includes transformation and transduction.
The bacterial transformation involves the recombination of the genetic material which is associated with the repairing of DNA and is a complex process that gets encoded by numerous bacterial genes. Bacterial conjugation is controlled through plasmid genes which are the spreading copies of the plasmid between the bacteria and the transfer of the host chromosome to other parts of the cell does not appear to be bacterial adaptations.

Note:
Prokaryotes are useful to humans in many ways such as baking, butter manufacturing and brewing. They help in the production of chemicals such as acetone and other organic acids. Some pharmaceuticals are made up of prokaryotes which include antibiotics and vaccines.
