Hint: Broadcasting in general terms means scattering the information as far as it can reach. In terms of agriculture, it may mean something related to scattering. One must also realize that in agriculture or in another field, every technique does not work well with every crop.

Complete answer:
First, we should know the meaning of broadcasting, so that we get an idea about its implication in the agricultural aspect. In agriculture, there are various ways through which the farmers try to increase crops growth, productivity, quality etc. One among these is the broadcasting method.

In the broadcasting method, one must sow the seeds either by hand or with the help of machines but it should be scattered in a large surface area. This method comes to the rescue particularly for cover crops and lawns. It might require 10-20% more seeds in comparison to the older methods used. Also, it is simpler, faster and easier than the older ways.

Once broadcasting is done, then the seed is sowed by scraping it into the soil using the tillage tool. These tools play a very important role in the success rate of germination while increasing the seed to soil contact.

Note:
- Broadcasting is an efficient way of sowing seeds but its methodology is such that it is distributed unevenly which may result in overcrowding.
- Moreover, it is important to note that not all seeds will provide better results if grown through broadcasting. It is not a universal method but is efficient for particular kinds of seeds like the smaller seeds with sprouts that have a better success rate.
