Budding is an asexual way in which new organisms are created. A new organism is formed from a small part of the body of the parent in this process. To grow into a new organism, a bud that is formed detaches. When it develops more the newly formed organism stays attached. When it matures by leaving scar tissue behind, it is isolated from the parent organism. The newly created organism, as this is asexual reproduction, is a duplicate of the parent and is genetically similar.
Amoeba and Leishmania reproduce by splitting itself into two. This kind of asexual reproduction is known as binary fission.
Yeast is non-green, eukaryotic, single-celled microorganisms of the fungus kingdom. By an asymmetric method of division called budding, yeast cells replicate asexually. Generally, budding occurs in yeast during the ample supply of nutrients. A tiny bud appears as an outgrowth of the parent body in this phase of reproduction. Later, two parts of the nucleus of the parent yeast are split and one of the nuclei moves into the bud. The newly formed bud divides into a new cell and develops.
The Plasmodium protozoan has a complicated life cycle in which asexual multiplication alternates with obligatory sexual reproduction in the mosquito in the vertebrate host.
