Hint : Our eyes absorb much of the light coming from the environment or a luminous source. For humans to be aware of the presence of light, the light waves have to get absorbed into our retina through the pupil.

Complete step by step answer
Usually, light originates from objects which are luminous, and spreads around into the environment. Luminous objects are objects which create and emit their own light. They are called primary sources of light, and we can see luminous objects without the presence of other sources of light. Other objects which do not emit and create their own light are called non luminous objects and are considered secondary sources of light.
Generally, when these luminous sources emit their light into the environment, much of it is absorbed by the non luminous object in the environment which goes to increase the temperature of the object. However, some of the light rays are reflected by the objects and these reflected objects may enter into our eyes to be seen. These light reflected from different parts of the object falls on our eyes to form an image. Hence, we are able to see the object. Usually, the light from the object passes through a lens in our eyes which converges the rays onto the retina to form the image.
Hence, the correct answer is option B.

Note
For clarity, objects that need to be reflected to be seen are non-luminous objects. Luminous objects do not have to be reflected off of anything to be seen, as long as the light they emit can get into our eyes directly.
