Hint: Matter can be considered as anything that can occupy space. It was mainly divided into three types based on their state, they are solid, liquid and gases. There are so many properties of matter like boiling point, melting point, color, density, viscosity and refractive index.
Complete answer:
Any object or anything which is occupying space can be called as a matter. They are mainly two types of quantities like extensive quantities and intensive quantities. Properties of matter were divided into these two quantities.
Extensive quantities are the quantities that will depend upon the quantity of substance, some of the examples were mass, weight, and volume.
Intensive quantities are the quantities that will not depend upon the quantity of substance, some of the examples were density, viscosity, color, melting point, boiling point, and electrical conductivity.
There are so many properties of matter, some of the properties of matter are color, boiling point, melting point, density, volume, mass viscosity and refractive index. Out of which some are extensive quantities and some are intensive quantities.
Note:
Matter can be divided into three types based on the arrangement of atoms. The three types are solid, liquid and gas. Matter in which the molecules or atoms arranged very tightly can be called as solid. When molecules are loosely arranged compared to solid it can be known as liquid and when molecules are arranged very loosely compared to solid and liquid it can be known as gas.
