Hint: The large Y-shaped proteins are called antibodies that are produced generally by plasma cells and are used by the immune system that helps in killing the pathogens such as pathogenic bacteria and viruses. Also Known as immunoglobulins.

Complete answer:
-The immune system of the body helps in preventing or limiting infections. The body fights with foreign materials like bacteria and viruses by making antibodies against them.
-Antibody is produced by the white blood cells. It is a Y- shaped protein.
-The antibodies are produced to protect the body from specific invaders by the acquired immune system with the help from the innate systems.
-The antibodies are produced by the b lymphocytes. After the first manifestation, the immune system will identify the Invaders and protect against it.

Additional Information: -The antibody finds the antigens stick to them so that it can destroy them. So, the antibody act like an immune system scout.
-Each antibody is specifically made for one and only one and region. A special receptor present on the surface of the antibody that will bind to that specific antigen.
For example - if anybody is created to destroy the chickenpox virus then the particular antibody will attack only a chickenpox virus.
-In the first step virus meets the type of cells called B cells. The antibodies are made by the B cells.
-Always remember that the antibody measures only one antigen. When the B cells have created their antibodies.
-The antibodies take to the virus with the help of receptors and mark it for the next round of attack.
-Now, T-cells attack the antigens that the antibodies have marked for it. When the antigens have been destroyed then the phagocytic cells consume the foreign matter and eat the remaining of the infection.
-The antibodies still remain in the body after the infection is defeated as in case if the particular antigens again return, it will again act upon it.
For example- after the person gets chickenpox the antibodies which were created by the immune system will remain in the body and the next time when the chickenpox virus tries to invade the patient, the Antibodies will be ready to fight and instantly attached to the virus called the tea shelf and phagocytic cells and stop the infection as much early as possible.

Note: -Antibodies, also known as immunoglobulins. They are the Y-shaped proteins, produced by the immune system and help to stop the intruders from harming the body. When an intruder enters the body, the immune system performs an action against these invaders.
-Viruses, bacteria, or other chemicals are the intruders or antigens. When an antigen is found in the body, the immune system will create antibodies against these antigens to destroy them.
