Hint: The twelfth maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore was Kanthirava Narasaraja Wodeyar. He reigned from the year 1638 to the year 1659. He is regarded as one of the greatest kings of the Kingdom of Mysore.

When we look at the expansionist steps taken by Kanthirava Narasaraja Wodeyar we can see that he took Sathyamangalam from the Nayaks of the state of Madurai and Madurai was situated to the south. When we look towards the west we can see that he unseated the Chingalvas from Piriyapatna, which was their base. In the north, we can see that he was able to gain possession of Hosur near Salem. Kempe Gowda of Magadi had henchmen at Yelahanka and Kanthirava was able to deliver a major blow to them.
The first Wodeyar of Mysore to create symbols associated with royalty was Kanthirava Narasaraja Wodeyar. By symbols of royalty what Kanthirava Narasaraja Wodeyar did was create royal coats of arms, mints were established by him, he also issued coins which were named after him - ‘Kathiraya’.
Note: The noble family that ruled the Kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1950 was the Wodeyar or Wadiyar or Odeyar family. They were the feudatory lords under the Vijayanagar Empire.
