When we look towards the west we can see that he unseated the Chingalvas from Piriyapatna, which was their base. In the north, we can see that he was able to gain possession of Hosur near Salem. Kempe Gowda of Magadi had henchmen at Yelahanka and Kanthirava was able to deliver a major blow to them.
The first Wodeyar of Mysore to create symbols associated with royalty was Kanthirava Narasaraja Wodeyar. By symbols of royalty what Kanthirava Narasaraja Wodeyar did was create royal coats of arms, mints were established by him, he also issued coins which were named after him - ‘Kathiraya’.
Note: The noble family that ruled the Kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1950 was the Wodeyar or Wadiyar or Odeyar family. They were the feudatory lords under the Vijayanagar Empire.
