Static electricity
Current electricity

When you rub the balloon with the wool sweater, electrons are transferred from the wool to the rubber because of differences in the attraction of the two materials for electrons. This is an example of static electricity generated by rubbing two objects.
Current electricity: in this type of electricity there is continuous flow of charges. In this kind of electricity the electrons displace from their original place in order to produce flow of charges.
