Solution is a homogeneous mixture of solute and solvent. The solute distributes uniformly in the solvent to form a solution. Thus, all solutions are mixtures but all mixtures are not solutions.

Mixture is the combination of two or more molecules. Each molecule or compound retains their identity in the mixture.
Some of the examples of mixtures are mixtures of hydrogen gas, nitrogen gas and carbon dioxide.
