Hint: Many antibiotics are incorporated to kill the pathogen invading the body. They work in inactivating the organism. The antibiotics are chemicals produced by the living organisms that kill other living organisms.

Complete answer:
Some members of the Fungi produce antibiotics that are effective in treating bacterial infections. The most famous being Penicillin. Penicillin was the first antibiotic extracted from the fungi Penicillium notatum by Alexander Flemming.
The effectiveness of antibiotics like penicillin is measured from the inhibition of peptidoglycan cross-linking. The resulting cell wall of bacteria may not be functional, particularly when it comes to gram-positive bacteria. Such drugs kill many species of pathogenic bacteria without affecting human cells negatively, as human cells have no peptidoglycan. So, when penicillin is taken the bacterial infection can be controlled as the cell wall is destroyed and the bacterial growth is inhibited.

Additional information:
Some antibiotics with and the fungal species form which they are extracted:
Griseofulvin - Penicillium notatum
Cephalosporin - Acremonium sp.
Ramcyin - Mucor ramannianus
Chloromycetin - Streptomyces Venezuela

So, the correct answer is ‘fungi’

Note: Raper (1952) also extracted penicillin from P.chrysogenum.
Various other chemicals are also extracted from fungi-
-Glycerol from yeast
-Enzymes like zymase, invertase, and lipase from yeast
-Cellulase is obtained from Aspergillus.
Fungi can also detect the presence of certain chemicals present in the medium.
Various vitamins like A and members of the vitamin B family are extracted from various fungi.
