2. Secondary structure: The interaction between the amino acids leads to the formation of chains. The functional groups form bonds between them and form folding in proteins.
3. Tertiary structure: It refers to the 3D structures of the proteins. As further folding of the secondary structure leads to tertiary protein structure. Although the proteins are made up of the same amino acids, proteins in our body may differ from those of cat since our DNA at the most basic levels which differs which means different alignment of amino acids within a protein and hence a different structure first, thus, the nature of the protein is likely to be different.
