Due to the heat of the sun the earth is able to maintain an optimum temperature due to which all life forms can thrive.
- We as living beings need energy in the form of food. The plants have the capacity to convert the solar energy obtained from the sun to chemical energy as food which is essential to carry out growth and development.
- The animal and other organisms cannot prepare their own food. They depend directly or indirectly on plants for food. Ultimately all living organisms depend on the sun directly and indirectly for food.
