Hint:-Three consecutive nucleotides codes for a particular amino acid during the process of protein synthesis. A particular codon (set of three consecutive nucleotides) codes for a particular amino acid this chain continues on messenger RNA and forms the sequence of different amino acids for the formation of protein.

Complete step-by-step solution:-To understand the process of triplet codon on mRNA we need to first understand about the “Translation”, It is the process in which ribosomes present in endoplasmic reticulum or cytoplasm synthesizes the protein for the cell. After the transcription of DNA to RNA the translation process starts in which the first step is ‘Initiation’ involving the ribosome that gathers around the targeted mRNA(messenger RNA). At the start codon first tRNA is attached. Now the second stage starts called ‘Elongation’ where tRNA at the start codon transfers an amino acid to the tRNA which corresponds to the former one to the next codon. In this way the chain continues and tRNA codes in a corresponding way for the formation of amino acid which further continues to synthesize the protein for the use and functioning of the cell. Now the last step ‘Termination’ when the tRNA reaches the stop codon and the process ends with the release of polypeptide by that ribosome. In this when we were talking about the term “Codon'' that means the pair of three nucleotides that encode an mRNA to form amino acid again after one codon another corresponding codon attaches to mRNA and this way the amino acid chain is formed. Hence our answer is (A) A sequence of three nitrogen bases on mRNA.

Note:-
Transcription is the process in which information in the strand of DNA is copied to the new molecule of mRNA(messenger RNA). Triplet codon is a set of three nucleotides that attach to the mRNA and form the amino acid, this corresponding amino acid chain is responsible for synthesizing the protein.
