Hint: - While solving the problem, take/assume the number of temples as $'x'$
Now, he puts $'x'$ flower in temples $'x'$
Thus, by simply equating we can find out the no. of flowers in each temple.

Step by Step solution:
Given, no. of flowers in each basket = 125
Total no. of basket he needs = 20
So, the total number of flowers he requires = $125 \times 20 = 2500$
Now, assume that the total number of temples in the city = $x$
$\therefore $no. of flowers he puts in each temple = $x$
So, the total no. of flower he needs $ = x \times x = {x^2}$
Above we have calculated the no. of flowers = 2500
$\therefore {x^2} = 2500$ [taking sq. root both the sides]
$
   \Rightarrow x = \sqrt {2500} \\
   = \sqrt {5 \times 5 \times 10 \times 10} \\
   = 5 \times 10 \\
   \Rightarrow x = 50 \\
$
$\therefore $ The number of flowers he puts in each temple = 50

Note: - While solving the square root, remember to first take the square on both the sides so that ${x^2}$ simplifies to $x$ and we get the required value.
