1. What is the pattern for the class 6 IEO?

Ans: The exam consists of a total of 50 questions spread over four sections. The four sections are word and structure knowledge, reading, spoken and written expression and finally the achiever’s section. The first three sections each have 15 questions and the achievers’ section has 5 questions. The last section is usually the toughest segment of the paper and is said to distinguish the great students from the good students. As for the time, students will be given a total of 60 minutes to solve the paper, and each question of the first three sections will carry one mark, while that of the achievers’ section will carry three. There is no negative marking system and zero points will be allotted to incorrect answers. Answering all the questions is mandatory. 

2. What all things do the syllabus cover in the IEO for class 6?

Ans: If the student has appeared for the class 5 olympiad, we’ve got some good news because the syllabus for the class six exam is largely the same as that of the fifth standard. The first three sections each test the students on different aspects of the language in the following manner:

Section 1: Nouns, Pronouns, Adverbs, Adjectives, Prepositions, Phrases, etc.

Section 3: Inferences are drawn from different types of situations.

  • Make a time-table and follow it meticulously

  • Reading stuff outside of the textbook, like newspapers, magazines, articles, novels, etc.
