A Glance at Chapter 7- From The Window

This chapter is a continuation of Omana’s journey to Kerala. It begins with her waking up in the morning, after an early night’s sleep. They had reached Madgaon. Her father said that they will be passing through the state of Goa. They got off the station and had some hot tea, and refilled their bottles. She then described that she saw a beautiful scene outside the window. Then, the train passed through a level of crossing, and there were many people, cars, trucks, auto-rickshaws, and cycle on both sides.

The last few hours of the journey were very exciting. After breakfast, she climbed on the upper berth and read comics. Then, she passed through a tunnel that went right through the mountain.

The Afternoon Scene:

Now and then, they passed four smaller tunnels, and she started to enjoy it. In the afternoon, she described the scene outside the window which comprised coconut trees and green fields.

Scene of the Night:

Then, at night they started to pack since the train was about to reach Kottayam. That day they were going to Valiyamma's house and the next day they would take a bus and go to Ammumma's Village. Now, at this moment they all were very tired since they had been on the train for two days. And in the end, She ends by saying that she will write again on reaching Ammumma’s house.
