Statistics is the analysis and interpretation of data collected for several purposes. Mean Deviation is the difference between the observed value and the expected value of a variable,i.e., the distance from the central point. The formula is mean deviation= sum of deviations/number of observations.
Variance is when the average squared deviations from the mean are calculated where as for the Standard Deviation, we calculate the square root of the variance.
