20 marks

Question 1. Passage writing

  • It has three subparts- A, B, and C.

  • Read the passage and answer the three questions based on it.

  • A- Write the correct alternatives to complete the sentences.

  • B- Complete the sentences with the information from the passage.

  • C- State if the statement is True or False. Provide reasons for your answer.

Question 2.  Poem

  • Read the poem and answer the question based on it.

  • This question has two subparts-

  1. Complete sentences based on the four options given after each sentence.

  2. Answer two questions briefly.

  • Answer questions as per the marks weightage.


Question 3. Comprehension (unseen)

  • Read the comprehension and answer the questions asked.

  • This question has three subparts-

  1. Tick the correct answer out of four options with each question.

  2. True and false 

  3. Answer the following questions in brief.

Section B  Grammar and Vocabulary

20 marks

Question 4.

  •  Fill in the blanks with appropriate words.

  • Choose the right word for the black from the options given below. 

Question 5.

  • A. Fill in the blanks with appropriate articles and prepositions.

  • B. Change and rewrite the sentences as per the instructions given.

  • C. Choose the correct phrasal verb.
