1. How to find the equivalent fractions?
Equivalent fractions can be expressed as multiplying or dividing both the denominator and numerator by the same number. This is a way to simplify the fractions by reducing them to the same number. Two fractions can be made equivalent by-
Multiply the denominator and numerator by the exact number.
Divide the denominator and numerator by the exact number.
For example, to find an equivalent fraction of 1/5, multiply the numerator 1 and the denominator 5 by any same number. In this case, the numbers are multiplied by 3. The new equivalent fraction of 1/5 is 3/15. This is how equivalent fractions can be found.
2. What are some properties of decimals?
Some important properties of decimal numbers are-
When the decimal fraction is multiplied by 1, the product is the decimal fraction itself.
When the decimal fraction is multiplied by 0, the product is always zero.
When a decimal number is divided by one, the quotient is always the decimal number.
When the decimal number is divided by the same number, the quotient of the division is 1.
When 0 is divided by any decimal, the quotient of the fraction is always 0.

3. How to compare Decimals?
Decimals can be compared by using 2 rules. Class 7 students can compare decimals by first comparing the whole number part of the decimal number. The given decimal number with a greater whole number will always be greater, no matter what the decimal place is. To compare the decimal numbers with the same whole number, the student should compare the first digit after the decimal. The greater number means the greater number. This same process can be repeated until the greater number is found. This is how class 7 students can compare 2 decimals numbers.
4. What is rounding decimal to the nearest tenth?
To round off a decimal number, to the nearest tenths is done by considering taking the digit at the hundredth place. The digit in this hundredth place can have 2 variations. 2 conditions that affect the rounding off, they are-
If the number is 4 or less, remove all the digits to the right of the tenth place digit and the remaining part is our preferred result.
If the digit at the hundredths place is 5 or greater, the student first needs to increase the tenth place digit by 1, and then remove all the digits on the right of the tenth place digit.

5. What is Decimal Place Value Count?
Decimals are a set of numerals lying between integers on the number line. In decimals, the whole number part, the place value system is identical to the whole number. But after the decimal point, there is a different set of numbers going on in which the students use decimal fractions to represent the value. When going towards the left, each place is ten times greater than the previous place value. So, to the right of one's place, the student has tenths (1/10) and to the right of tenths, they have hundredths (1/100), and so on. This is the Decimal Value Count.
