Hint: The Mughal emperors established and controlled the Mughal Empire on the Indian subcontinent, which included what are now India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. From 1526, the Mughals ruled parts of India, and by 1700, they controlled the majority of the subcontinent. They rapidly fell after then but remained nominally in control of areas until the 1850s.

Complete answer:
Mughal emperors' names -
1) Baber (Reign 1526–1530) - After his triumphs at the Battles of Panipat (1526) and Khanwa (1527), he was a direct descendant of Genghis Khan through Timur and the founder of the Mughal Empire.
2) Humayun (Reign I- 1530–1540, II – 1555–1556)
- The Suri Dynasty interfered in the reign. He was seen as a less competent monarch than Sher Shah Suri, who beat him and established the Suri Dynasty, due to his youth and inexperience.
- The restored rule was more cohesive and effective than the 1530–1540 era. His son, Akbar, was given command of the united empire.
3) Akbar (Reign 1556–1605) - During the Second Battle of Panipat, he and Bairam Khan defeated Hemu, and later gained famous wins during the Siege of Chittorgarh and the Siege of Ranthambore. The Lahore Fort was one of his most well-known construction feats. Jizyah, a levy placed on Hindus, was abolished by him.
4) Jahangir (Reign 1605–1627) - Relations with the British East India Company were established.
5) Shahjahan (Reign 1628–1658) - Mughal art and architecture reached its pinnacle under him. In Lahore, he built the Taj Mahal, the Jama Masjid, the Red Fort, the Jahangir tomb, and the Shalimar Gardens. In his son Aurangzeb's captivity, he died.
6) Aurangzeb (Reign 1658–1707)
- On July 31, 1658, he ascended to the throne.
- He offered the Fatawa-e-Alamgiri, a reinterpretation of Islamic law.He seized the Sultanate of Golconda's diamond resources and spent the majority of his last 27 years fighting Maratha rebels, expanding the kingdom to its highest extent.
7) Bahadur Shah II (Reign 1837–1857) - He was the Mughal Emperor's last reign. Following the Indian Rebellion of 1857, he was ousted by the British and deported to Burma.

Note: From 1526 to 1857, when the last Mughal emperor was banished by the British, the Mughal Empire spanned most of northern and central India, as well as what is now Pakistan. The Muslim Mughal kings and their largely Hindu subjects collaborated to produce a golden age in Indian history, brimming with art, scientific achievement, and breathtaking architecture. Later in the Mughal period, however, the emperors faced rising French and British invasions, which culminated in the Mughal Empire's collapse in 1857.
