The formula of anhydrous copper sulphate $ = $ $CuS{O_4}$
These two forms of copper sulphate can be interconvertible through the following process
$CuS{O_4}.5{H_2}O\xrightarrow[{{H_2}O}]{\Delta }CuS{O_4}$ .
When the crystals of hydrated copper sulphate are heated in a boiling tube then the water of crystallization in the crystals is lost and the salt turns white.
However, when the crystals are moistened, the blue colour of the crystals reappears.
