Hint: When the population of living organisms adapts and changes then it is known as natural selection. Individuals are variable in a population which means they all are different from each other in some ways. The variation in some individuals means that their trait is better suitable to the environment than others.
Complete answer:
-Darwin's theory of natural selection is put forward by Charles Darwin is also known as 'Descent of Man' in 1871. Charles Darwin is also considered as a father of evolution and he was a great British naturalist.
-He told us that the birds and bananas fishes and flowers all are related and point out that the life of living organisms is related to them. He is also so true that today's complex creature has evolved from simple ancestors in a natural way over time.
-Therefore, from the above explanation, we can say that genetic mutations unevenly occur with an organism’s genetic code, and mutation that benefits the organisms is preserved because they provide an addition for their survival. Hence, this process is known as natural selection.
-The mutations which are beneficial and are preserved by the organisms are also passed to the next generation and by the time the benefited mutations accumulate and thus creates a different organism with entirely different features.
-Natural selection functions as a preservation and accumulation of minor advantages genetic mutation according to Charles Darwin.
Additional Information: -Those variations in the genotype that enhance an organism’s chance of survival are preserved. Variations in genotypes are the entire complex of genes which is inherited from both parents.
-These inherited genes passed from generation to generation and evolution occurs as a consequence of this process.
-Thus, differences in survival, fertility, in the rate of development, in meeting a success, or any other aspects of the life cycle give rise to natural selection.
-Therefore all these differences which result from a natural selection affect the number of progeny of an organism’s lives.
Note: -The species that successfully adopted or evolved to meet the changing requirements of their natural habitat survived through a process called natural selection. Those species that field to evolve and reproduce have died off.
-The process of natural selection later known as “Darwinism.”
