Hint: In this question, we need to write a given function into mixed fraction. For this we will first change it to the simplest form i.e. we will cancel out common factors from the numerator and the denominator. Then we will convert it by dividing the numerator with the denominator. The integral part of the answer (quotient) will be the whole number part of the fraction. Then the remainder will be the numerator part and the denominator will remain the same.

Complete step-by-step answer:
Here we are given the improper fraction as 156. We need to change it to a mixed fraction. Mixed fraction is a form of fraction which has a fraction and a whole number. For example 314 is a mixed fraction in which 3 is the whole number part and 14 is the fraction part. Mixed fraction can also be stated as 3+14.
Before converting 156 to mixed fraction let us first simplify it. Both numerator and denominator have a common factor as 3 so let us remove it by dividing by 3 we get 15÷36÷3=52.
Hence we need to change 52 to a mixed fraction. For this, let us divide 5 by 2 we get 2)5412.
We have obtained 2 as the quotient and 1 as remainder. In mixed fraction the quotient is the whole number part and remainder is the numerator of the fractional part. The denominator of the fractional part is the divisor i.e. 2 here.
So we get the mixed fraction as 212.
Hence 156=212.

Note: Students should not get confused between the quotient and the remainder. Order of mixed fraction can be remembered as QRD where Q is quotient, R is remainder and D is divisor. Note that fraction should always be in simplest form.
