Giuseppe Mazzini was a politician, a journalist, an Italian unification activist and a spearhead of the new Italian movement. His efforts helped to bring about an independent and united Italy in place of the many separate states that existed until the 19th century, many controlled by foreign powers. In a constitutional state, Mazzini helped describe the new European movement for popular democracy.

He was a lawyer, a Journalist and a writer by profession. He was born in Genoa on ${22}^{nd}$ June 1807 and died on ${10}^{th}$ March 1872. He was a founder of the Carbonari clandestine society. He is a nationalist from Italy.

1)For a unitary Italian republic, Giuseppe Mazzini put together different programs.
