 Dear Rachel,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. The weather is fine here, and we are expecting the rains to commence in a few days. If all goes well, you will receive my letter by the end of the week.

I am writing this letter because I have something to tell you. It is my parents’ wedding anniversary this month and I’m saving up money to buy them a gift. It is meant to be a secret. I have told no one except you and of course, Ruth knows. After all, she is my sister. I tell her everything and can dream of keeping no secrets from her ever. When I first told Ruth about my plan, she was very ecstatic and she even offered to save up with me so that we could buy a gift together.

Ruth is extremely dependable about other things as well. I know that you will be able to connect with what I’m saying as you have a sister too and I’m sure that you are quite close to her as well. I hope to hear from you soon. Give my regards to your parents. Bye for now.
