A School Assembly is a gathering of students in the morning to pray to God and start the day with his name. During a school assembly, news about all around the world is read out to keep the students updated, instructions about various activities of the school are given, important announcements are made. Students and teachers give speeches and sometimes the Principal conducts the assembly in order to connect with the students.
During the morning assembly in my school, the students rushed towards the ground where the assembly is supposed to take place and stand in a straight line as instructed by the physical education teacher who makes sure that everyone is in proper uniform and behaves in a disciplined manner during the assembly. The gates of the school are closed after the deadline is over which is indicated by a loud bell. The students who are responsible to take the assembly come forward and begin to call out the names of the ones who are supposed to give out speeches on chosen topics, read out news, announce about co-curricular activities, so on.
