Complete answer::
I feel that the use of mobile phones must be allowed in schools. In the modern-day world, where the device has become an integral part of our lives, students must be taught the management of the same. This, however, can only be made possible if mobile phones are allowed in schools. The students must be taught of its uses and how to manage their screen times. It also helps one in case of emergencies. For example, if a student needs to call his parents while travelling back and forth to school or in case of any emergencies, the option of communicating it instantaneously through a mobile phone is a very efficient idea.
Schools must also educate students on the concept and issues of privacy and how they must protect it. As for the classroom sessions for theoretical learning, one could just ask students to submit their phones at the beginning of the class and they could collect it at the end of the class. Students can also be made to use their mobile phones in a productive manner by teaching them how to browse through content and find quality information. Allowing mobile phones normalises it and thus, prevents the misuse of it. The misuse happens when the students bring mobile phones to the school without permission. They use it for activities such as taking pictures and videos without consent or to spread objectionable material.
Thus, permitting the mobile phones to school also enables the school to be able to monitor the activities that are done on phone by the student while in school premises. This instils discipline and also paves the way for the parents at home to influence their child to reduce their screen time. This shall also help them in learning how to manage and utilise this device instead of just using it as a tool for time waste, for the rest of their lives. Moreover, by denying the children something, only makes them more curious about it. Thus, often results in them losing their ways inside the virtual world of mobile phones. It is only better than they are taught the correct use of mobile phones under supervision.
Note: A composition is the narrator’s personal perspective and hence, can be written in any way.
