Hint:Here we are given two numbers. One is the least natural number and the other the fraction. Decimal number is the number which comprises the point at least after one digit. Here we have to convert the given number in the form of decimal.
Complete step by step solution:
Here we are given two numbers. One number is a natural number and the other given number is the fraction which is expressed in terms of numerator upon the denominator.
To write any number in decimal, we generally use a point in the number.
First given number is least natural number is $ 1 $
$ 1 $ can be expressed as $ 1.0 $ in the decimal. (Since zero after decimal point does not worth any
value)
$ 1 = 1.0 $ (Both are equivalent values of each other) .... (A)
Second given number is $ \dfrac{1}{3} $
Divide numerator with the denominator.
$
3\mathop{\left){\vphantom{11}}\right.
\!\!\!\!\overline{\,\,\,\vphantom 1{1}}}
\limits^{\displaystyle \,\,\, {0.333}} \\
{\text{ }} - \,{\text{ }}\underline {{\text{0}}{\text{.9}}} \\
\;{\text{ 0}}{\text{.10}} \\
\;{\text{ - }}\underline {{\text{0}}{\text{.9}}} \\
\;{\text{ 0}}{\text{.10}} \\
$
$ \dfrac{1}{3} = 0.333 $ (Both are equivalent values of each other) .... (B)
Equation (A) and (B) are the required solution.
Note: Be good in multiples and division. Since it is the most important fundamental to solve and convert numbers in the decimal form. Also, be careful while placing the decimal point, it is always placed from the left hand side.
Additional Information: Remember to convert decimal into fraction, place the decimal number over its place value. For example, for $ 0.6 $ the six is in the tenths place so that we place $ 6 $ over $ 10 $ to create the equivalent fraction i.e. $ \dfrac{6}{{10}} $ and similarly if there is two digits after decimal point, for $ 0.06 $ the six is in the hundredths place so that we place $ 6 $ over $ 100 $ to create the equivalent fraction i.e. $ \dfrac{6}{{100}} $ .
