The ‘Legal Framework Order’ is an order of the year 2002 that was issued in Pakistan by General Parveez Musharraf. Parveez Musharraf was then the President of Pakistan. In 2002 Pakistan had its general election. After the law was passed the general elections took place. The ‘Legal Framework Order’ provided for the general elections of 2002. Pakistan had its first election in 1970. According to this order it was in the hands of the President to dismiss the national and provincial assemblies whenever required and also whenever wished and the civilian cabinet would be supervised by a National Security Council.
