Hint: Water is the most precious natural resource that has varying importance in our lives. It is found under the water and almost everywhere that include plains, mountains, deserts, hills, etc. It needs to undergo certain treatment before use.

It is a very important natural resource that is required for every activity. Water is very important for the living organisms to live and thus is also called the elixir of life due. Due to the increasing pollution, the sources of water are decreasing and polluted and we need to save them to conserve water for our use.
The water can be saved by:
-For watering the plants, use the water used for washing vegetables
-Don’t waste more water during bathing, flushing, etc.
-Harvesting and conserving water.
-The water which is dirty can be used for cleaning vehicles or for gardening instead of throwing them.
Afforestation is the process of planting trees and this is the most important process to conserve water and helps the water table to be maintained under the ground. This also will prevent the soil erosion as the new plants and trees will allow the roots to tightly hold them in the soil and thus prevents the soil from runoff from the surface. This helps the water to slowly seep into the ground and results in maintaining the level of the groundwater.
To save our water table we can utilize three R's.
Reduce-reducing the utilization of water and reducing its wastage.
Reuse-reusing similar water again for instance water utilized for washing clothes can be utilized for cleaning purposes.
Recycle- aThe wastewater from the industry can be used again for various purposes by the process of recycling and thus saves water.

While watering the plants it is advised to use the watering can instead of the hosepipe as the hosepipe is found to waste more water than the water can. The hosepipe has the capacity to use 1000 liters of water in just the time period of 60 minutes. To save water and to lower the rate of evaporation in the plants it is advised to water them in the early morning or in the late afternoon and mulch the plants in the form of shipping if bark, or using heavy fertilizer.
