Minerals oil consists of 90-95 percent of hydrocarbons and 5-10 percent of organic compounds such as oxygen, sulphur, nitro and some traces of organometallic compounds. Mineral oil is usually applied as hydrodynamic lubricants and also as a carrier of additives promoting solid-firm lubrication.
