Hint: We know that for any living species water is the most essential component, which contains many nutrients like:( iron, zinc, calcium and magnesium etc.). but also contains some harmful components like (nitrogen, bleach, salts, bacteria, pesticides etc.) which can harm the body of a living being.

Complete answer: There are so many pollutants present in water which can be harmful for the living water and cause some diseases like: cholera, typhoid fever, diarrhoea, dysentery, food poisoning and many skin infections such as trachoma and many more.
As we see that if we drink contaminated water it can lead us to many diseases so it is very necessary to drink the safe and purify water.
To clean the and remove the impurity we use some oxidising agents like:
Ozone(O$_{3}$) which is the most powerful oxidant used for water purifications. The removal of unwanted taste and smell/odour can be treated by ozone oxidant. Metals like magnesium, sulphur and iron are oxidized by the ozone and convert into soluble particles.
Chlorine when added to water, it kills pathogens such as bacteria and viruses by breaking the chemical bonds in their molecules. As chlorine is used as bleaching powder. Chlorine gas could be bubbled into water directly and can be purified.

Note:
We should always drink safe and pure water and for this we can use some oxidants like ozone and chlorine. to avoid our health issues and keep ourselves safe. Chlorine gas could be bubbled into water directly and can be purified.
