Hint: The Dandi March is also known as a salt march or Salt Satyagraha. It was the act which began the Civil Disobedience Movement led by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on 12 March 1930 against the salt tax.

Complete answer: British in India imposed the salt tax on manufacturing and selling the salt. When Mahatma Gandhi Came to know about this tax, he declared it as a sinful act to tax salt since it is such an essential item of the rich and poor. He decided to lead a march with his volunteers over 240 miles from Sabarmati to Dandi to break the salt law. The volunteers walked for 24 days about 10 miles a day and wherever Gandhiji stopped people came to hear him and his movement.
Finally, on 6 April, after reaching Dandi he broke the salt law by boiling seawater which further marked the beginning of the civil disobedience movement.
Looking at the options given:
Option A. It was the initial phase of the civil disobedience movement as mentioned above. it is an incorrect option.
Option B. This is the correct answer as the march was not from Dandi to Sabarmati but from Sabarmati to Dandi in Gujarat. It is a false statement.
Option C. and D. are also incorrect as the government imposed a tax on salt and Mahatma Gandhi led the movement.
