Hint:The reaction turbine is those turbines in which water at the entrance of the turbine has kinetic as well as potential energies. These kinetic and potential energies are utilized to produce electricity.

Complete Step by Step Answer:
Impulse turbines are those turbines in which energy of water at the inlet is kinetic energy which is allowed to flow through the waves which rotates the impeller as a result of which electricity is produced.

Reaction turbines are those turbines in which water has both kinetic as well as potential energies at the turbine inlet. During the running of the turbine, the potential energy is converted into kinetic energy and utilised with the rest available kinetic energy to produce electricity.

Fourneyron turbine is an outward flow reaction turbine in which water from above is allowed to flow through a component called a vessel. Distributor is used to deflect the water at the bottom of the vessel.

Journal turbine and Thomson’s turbine also utilise the kinetic energy and potential energy of water present at the inlet of turbine so it can be said that Journal turbine and Thomson’s turbine turbines are also reaction turbines.

Therefore, the Pelton wheel is not a reaction turbine and option (D) is correct.

Note:The turbine that consists only of kinetic energy at the outlet is the impulse turbine and the turbine that consists of kinetic as well as pressure energy is the reaction turbine.
