Hint: Sun’s energy is being absorbed by earth surface which leads to an increase in earth’s temperature. Some of the heat is being trapped by many gases and water vapor in the atmosphere. Due to this increase in earth’s temperature leads to global warming this is polluting our earth.
Complete answer:
We have to know that the greenhouse effect is known as heating of earth due to the sun's radiation which is trapped by gases such as carbon dioxide and many other gases in the atmosphere. Greenhouse name is given because of the glass structure that is used to protect the plant from reflected radiation to escape but also allows the sunlight to reach through the glass. The sunlight which is received on earth is due to three radiations that are ultraviolet, visible and infrared radiations. As the earth surface starts heating up it emits radiation with lesser energy. Some parts of these emitted radiations are being absorbed by gases. Now the various greenhouse gases can be carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, sulfur dioxide, ozone, water vapor and many other gases as well.
So out of the following options given the gas which is not greenhouse gas is Nitrogen that is option D) while all the other options given are correct all these gases are considered to be greenhouse gases.
The correct answer is Option D)
Note: We must have to know that when concentration of greenhouse gases increases this will lead to global warming that means affecting earth and our environment. Around $30\% $ of IR radiation reaches the earth’s surface and heats it. The various greenhouse gases can be carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, sulfur dioxide, ozone, water vapor and many other gases as well.
