Hint: In India, the term Paramilitary forces have not been defined by authorities or in any acts officially. However, seven forces are considered paramilitary forces but to avoid confusion they have been reclassified as Central Armed Police Forces from March 2011.

Complete answer:
Multifarious responsibilities are discharged by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The notably important among these responsibilities being - management of Central Armed Police Forces, Centre-State relations, administration of Union Territories, internal security, border management, disaster management, etc. Though In the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India, in terms of Entries 1 and 2 of List II in the State List, police and public order are the responsibilities of States, Article 355 of the Constitution enjoins the Union to protect every State against internal disturbance and external aggression and to make sure that every State’s Government is carried on according to the provisions enshrined in the Constitution. In pursuance of these obligations, the Ministry of Home Affairs continuously monitors the internal security situation, shares intelligence inputs, issues appropriate advisories, guidance, and expertise, extends manpower and financial support, to the State Governments to ensure that harmony, peace, and security are maintained in the state without encroaching upon the constitutional rights of the States.
The seven paramilitary forces are Assam Rifles, Border Security Force (BSF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), National Security Guard (NSG), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB).

Thus, option (C) is correct.

Note: The present Minister of Home Affairs is Amit Shah who is responsible for the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
