Hint- The Constitution of India ensures that there exists uniformity of representation in between different states, as well as between the different constituencies at the same state. “Population” is ascertained at the preceding census of which the relevant figures have been published.

Complete Answer:
After every census, a mandatory readjustment has to be made in (a) the division of each state into territorial constituencies, as well as (b) the allocation of seats in the Lok Sabha to the states.
The Delimitation Commission Acts were enacted by the Parliament, in the years 1952, 1962, 1972, and 2002 for this purpose.
The 42nd Amendment Act of 1976 had frozen the allocation of seats in the lower house which is the Lok Sabha to the states along with the division of each state into territorial constituencies till the year 2000 at the 1971 level.
Also, the voting age was reduced from 21 to 18 years with reference to the 61st Constitutional Amendment Act, 1988.

Thus, option B is the right answer.

Note- Readjustment or delimitation of constituency signifies the act of fixing the boundaries of territorial constituencies along with the change in population. In the Constitution of India, the parliament owns the power to enact the Delimitation Act after every Census. The same affects the strength of the existing House along with a change in the number of seats for representation accordingly.
