Hint: Deforestation is defined as the regular decreasing of the forest land area due to different man and nature reasons. When the number of trees and the area of forest will continuously decrease due different causes this is known as deforestation.
Complete step by step answer:
1 :- In today’s world deforestation is the main reason for the ever increasing pollution and the greenhouse gases which increases the temperature of the earth and makes the environment warm.
2 :- Drought :- Drought is the condition when there is no rainfall for a long time and everything in that area will become dry and all the flora of that reason will destroy animals that live in that area either die or migrate to other areas.
3 :- Forest fire :- When the forest trees catch fire it will spread with a very high speed and can destroy the whole forest within a few days, it will take several days to weeks to overcome the forest fire once it happens. All the organisms either died or became homeless.
4 :- Soil erosion :- soil erosion is defined as the removal of the upper and the fertile layer of the soil by water, air or any other means. It occurs due to deforestation because plants and trees hold the soil tightly in their absence soil will get eroded.
5 :- So from the above Drought and forest fire are responsible for the deforestation.
Option D is correct.
Note:
According to a survey every year 5% of the total forest area gets transferred for human use and the reason is the ever increasing population.
