Hint: The planet Uranus is one of the four Gas giants in our Solar System. The color observed through visible light telescopes is due to the presence of methane that forms a part of the planet with the major composition of the atmosphere being hydrogen-helium of the planet Uranus.

The color of the planet Uranus that we observe is green-blue. It appears so that planet Uranus and Neptune possess the same colour but the former has a greenish appearance in addition to the blue. The colour indicates what kind of frequencies are mostly absorbed/reflected/emitted by a planet. Astronomers use various colour filters for an image that is obtained with the help of telescopes to know what are the color/visible frequency constituents. Ground based telescopes did not give such a clear image so in 1986 as the spacecraft Voyager 2 flew past it, we were able to get more clear pictures for the first time. Orange, Green and Blue filter images along with the visible light image were analysed to give the result.
