Hint: Displacement is a vector quantity which has both magnitude and direction and displacement is measured in terms of meters. The dimensional formula of displacement is M0L1T0 and displacement plays a very important role while determining velocity (v). Velocity is also a vector quantity.

Complete step-by-step solution:
Displacement is defined as the process in which objects positions are changed and in displacement the initial position of objects are changed. Displacement is also defined as change in initial position of objects to the final position and displacement is denoted as S. If the displacement is along a line then the displacement is called as linear displacement and if the displacement is rotational then it is called as angular displacement.
Displacement S=XfXi
Where Xf =final position
              Xi =initial position
Displacement can also be described as relative motion
Velocity is defined as the rate of change of displacement with respect to time and in kinematics velocity is a fundamental concept. The SI unit of velocity is ms1 and velocity tracking is the measure of velocity.
Velocity (v) =ΔSΔt
The dimensional formula of velocity is M0L1T1
Examples of displacement are:
While lecturing the lecturer movers right and left.
A boy moves from home to school.
A passenger moves from their seat to the station.

Note: Students can be specified or mentioned in plus or minus sign in one dimensional motion and in order to know the direction of motion newton’s law of motion is very helpful. Displacement has both magnitude and direction and displacement which will be in terms of length so displacement is measured in meters which is the unit of length.
