Hint: In the type of question that has been mentioned above we need to explain in detail what decimal notation is how can we perform decimal notation what are the advantages of decimal notation and also explain the difference between decimal and standard notation.

Complete step by step answer:
In the above stated question we need to describe what decimal notation is about. We can clearly define decimal notation in two parts one being positive power and one being negative power. This positive or negative power is the exponential power of 10. The positive exponential power is used when the number is too big let us take some example, example: let us assume a number 974830, now when we try to use decimal notation for this we can see that the number is too big and we wanna reduce it for this to happen we are going to convert it near 500 and then use exponential power of 6 on 10 i.e. \[{{10}^{6}}\] so when we try to convert the number to near 500 we get it as 975000 which can also be written as \[9.75\times {{10}^{6}}\]so that big number has reduced to this. This can also be done vice versa that is for very small numbers for example let us assume a number 0.000123 as this number is too small and the length is too big we can write it in a decimal notation with exponential power of 10 being negative sp we get it as \[1.23\times {{10}^{-4}}\]. The advantages of using decimal notation is that it can help in very big calculations and give an approximate value to make the calculation easier, be it very large or very small. The examples that we took are known as standard notation but the values having exponential power of 10 with them can be stated as decimal notation.

Note: In the above stated question there will always be confusion on what to use for calculation if the value can accept approx values then it would be advisable to use decimal notation as it can then be easily calculated.
