Hint: For solving this question you should know about the ordered pair. Ordered pair of two numbers for which the order in which the numbers are given is important. These ordered pairs are generally a set of two numbers which denotes the position of any point in two-dimension (2 - D) or in a coordinate point. This is always used for showing any point or a coordinate point.
Complete step by step answer:
It is asked in this question to define and explain as to what is an ordered pair. As we know that the ordered pair usually refers to a set of two numbers which are used to locate a point in a coordinate plane. We know that if any ordered pair refers to the location of a point in the coordinate plane, they are known as coordinates of that point. The order of the points are very much important because any point, named by (a, b) will not be at the same position of (b, a) if both are not same.
If we take an example (3, 5) then if we draw it in the 2 - D graph and allocate the point, and on the same graph if we allocate the point (5, 3), then the point’s place will be different from this point. We can see this with the help of this diagram:
As we can see in the diagram that the points are different and the place of points is also different from one another. And this all depends on the order of the two numbers for a two dimensional and three numbers for a three dimensional diagram. So, as we can see here that the position of the points depends on the order which we write for denoting any point.
Note: If any diagram or graph is 2 - D, then it is compulsory that it will contain only two measurement points for a point. But if any three dimensional diagrams is used then it will be three measuring points in that for showing or allocating any point on the graph. If any one or any two values are given for the graph or diagram, then it is compulsory to rest all dimensions zero.
