Hint: As we know that mixtures are formed when two or more substances like elements or compounds mix together without any chemical change where the substances do not necessarily need to mix in a definite ratio in order to form a mixture. Here we have to explain the homogeneous mixture.
Complete answer:
Let us discuss about the mixture followed by the explanation of homogeneous mixture as follows:-
-Mixtures: These are formed when two or more substances like elements or compounds mix together without any chemical change where the substances do not necessarily need to mix in a definite ratio in order to form a mixture. These are primarily of two types which are homogeneous mixture and heterogeneous mixture.
-Homogeneous mixture: These are the types of mixtures where the components of the mixture are uniformly distributed throughout the mixture or in simple words, the solution is uniform throughout. We will observe only one phase of matter in mixture if it is homogeneous.
-Homogeneous mixture has following features:-
(a)Particles in the mixture are uniformly distributed.
(b)We cannot judge a homogeneous mixture by seeing it with naked eyes.
(c)These mixtures are also called solutions.
(d)These mixtures have uniform composition.
Examples of homogeneous solutions are: Vinegar, sugar solution, table salt solution, etc.
Note:
-Remember that heterogeneous mixture is a type of mixture where all the components are completely mixed and each particle can be seen under a microscope. Also we can easily identify the components of mixture and they can be in more than one phase.
