Hint: For solving this question you should know about the dividation (division) of two numbers, but this question is in the percent form. And we don’t know about the division for percent form. So, we will do it by changing the percent form in a number form and then we will divide both the numbers and will get our answer.
Complete step by step answer:
According to the question it is asked of us to divide 100% by 20% and we will do it by changing it in integer form or decimal form. If we see our question, then the percent forms are 100% and 20% respectively as 1.00 and 0.20. So, as we know that we can write 100% as,
$\Rightarrow \dfrac{100}{100}=100$ which is equal to 1.00.
And $x\times 100=20\Rightarrow x=\dfrac{20}{100}=0.20$
So, both 100% and 20% are equal to 1.00 and 0.20. Now we can divide both the numbers and get our answer.
If we take an example for proving this, then:
Example 1: Find the number which is 100% divided by 50%.
If we see here, then the percent forms are 100% and 50% and the integer and decimal forms of both are,
$ 100\%\Rightarrow \dfrac{100}{100}=100 $
$50\%\Rightarrow x\times 100=50\Rightarrow x=0.50$
So, division of both would be $=\dfrac{1}{0.50}=2$.
Similarly, it is in our question too. The division of both 1 and 0.20 is,
$\dfrac{1}{0.20}=5$
So, 100% divided by 20% is equal to 5.
Note: During solving this question we have to be careful of the changing in decimal and integer form from the percent form. And take the same value for calculating both and more percent of the same number. And then divide it carefully.
