Hint: Proper food is the term used for the food that fulfills all the criteria of nutritional requirements of the body. It protects us from various diseases. It is nothing but a balanced diet that keeps our body healthy and maintains its build.

Complete answer:
Proper food is a Balanced diet that contains all the essential body nutrients in specific or required amounts. It includes fats, vitamins, carbohydrates, proteins, and minerals in the required amount which provides our body with the essential nutrients required for a healthy and safe life. The amount of these nutrients required differ from one body type to another and thus is calculated according to the body measurements of an individual. A balanced diet is taken in a course of 3-5 every day and consists of a variety of food which can be obtained from different sources. This diet is also made depending on the calorie requirement of the body. Average adult women need 1600 to 2400 calories per day and average adult men need 2000 to 3000 calories per day in order to stay healthy.

Sources for a balanced diet-
Vitamins and Minerals- Fresh fruit and Vegetables
Fats- Dairy products, oil, butter, nuts, meat, and fish.
Proteins- Grains, beans, vegetables, pulses, nuts, meat, fish, and eggs
Carbohydrates- Vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk, and milk products
This diet or food should be made from all the natural ingredients. Lack of proper food or a balanced diet in the body can lead to various diseases and health conditions. Generally, our body stores some amount of nutrients so, in the absence of a good diet, these nutrients will be used. The harmful effects will be seen when these nutrients will get exhausted. The common health risks that can occur are- stress, tiredness, lesser physical strength, obesity, overweight, tooth decay, elevated blood pressure, malnourishment, etc, or some major health risks like deficiency of a particular nutrient, diabetes, or heart-related conditions, etc.

Note: The calorie requirement of every individual differs. Males tend to need more calories than females but also depends on the age, weight, physical build, sex, and physical activity level. There are many foods that have lesser calories but more nutrition, they are called empty calories like cakes, cookies, energy drinks, pizza, etc.
