Hint: A domestic waste refers to the solid waste of the house that goes out in trash. It can be biodegradable (can be easily decomposed like kitchen wastes) or non-biodegradable (cannot be easily degraded).

Complete Answer:
A domestic wastes comprises of the kitchen wastes like fruits and vegetable residues, paper, plastic bags, fused bulbs, broken flower vase and many more. It is found that most of the people dispose of their wastes in the bylanes of the residential colonies which creates a pathetic situation for the one who works as an environmentalist and trying to save the environment.

The domestic wastes is not only responsible for causing hazards to the environment but also acts as an abode for various insects( that are acts as a vector) responsible for causing vector borne diseases like malaria, dengue, typhoid etc. that sometimes lead to the death of the individual. So it is necessary to maintain cleanliness not only within their house but also outside the house.

For making the people aware about the proper disposal of waste for the conservation of the environment, several ways has to be follow:
- It is necessary to educate the people about this and tell them the pros and cons of disposing their wastes on the bylanes.
- One has to announce and perform the cleanliness drive campaign within their society and tell them to clean their surroundings themselves.
- One should make them aware of disposing of wet and dry wastes separately, so that it is easy for the municipality to dispose of them properly.
- Volunteers should do nukkad-nataks or short plays to make people.
- One can draw the posters related to the harmful impact of the decomposing household wastes on the bylanes of their residential colonies.
- Do ban on the usage of plastic bags that are not easily degradable.

Note: One of the alternatives for recycling the plastic bags was found by Ahmed Khan by developing the polyblend, a fine powder of recycled modified plastic. This mixture when mixed with the bitumen (that is used to lay roads) enhanced the bitumen’s water repellent properties and helped to increase road life by a factor of three.
