Hint: The urethra is a tube-like structure which connects the urinary bladder to the urinary meats. The length of urethra differs between the sexes as it passes through the penis in males. The urethra is used in the urinating and ejaculation.

Complete answer:
The urethra is a fibrous and muscular tube which connects the urinary bladder to the external urethral meatus. In the human male, the length of urethra ranges from 18 to 20 cm and it opens at the end of the external urethral meatus. The urethra in males passes through the bulbourethral and corpus spongiosum of the penis. In the glans of the penis, the urethra expands to form the navicular fossa. The urethra helps in carrying the urine from the bladder to the outside of the body. The urethra in male is composed of the prostatic urethra, membranous urethra and the penile urethra.
The prostatic urethra passes through the prostate gland. The ejaculatory duct collects the sperm from the vas deferens and ejaculates the fluid from the seminal vesicle. There are several prostatic ducts where fluid from the prostate enters and gives to the ejaculates. These openings together are known as the verumontanum. The membranous urethra is a small portion which passes through the external urethral sphincter and it is the narrowest part of the urethra. It is located in the deep perineal pouch while the bulbourethral glands are found posterior to this region but open in the spongy urethra. The spongy or penile urethra passes along the length of the penis on its ventral surface. It is about 15 to 25 cm long and travels through the corpus spongiosum. The ducts from the urethral open in this region. The openings of the bulbourethral glands are also found here.
Hence, the correct answer is ‘B. Prostatic, membranous and penile’.

Note: The urethral smooth muscle cells are mechanically combined to coordinate mechanical force and electrical signalling in an orderly manner. The infection of the urethra is known as the urethritis. It is most commonly caused due to a sexually transmitted infection like gonorrhoea or chlamydia, and less commonly due to other bacteria such as ureaplasma or mycoplasma.
