Hint: Frequency is the number of concurrency of a repeating event per unit of time. It is also referred to as temporal frequency. Number of cycles per unit is known as frequency.
Complete step by step answer:
Basically the frequency is known as the number of oscillations per unit time. It is the ratio of the number of oscillations to the time taken in these oscillations.
The SI unit of frequency is Hertz(Hz).
Frequency of alternating current (A.C.) is equal to the no. of complete cycle of variations gone through by A.C. in one second. The SI unit of Frequency is Hertz (Hz). This simply means that the magnetic field around the armature in the AC generators in India rotates 50 times per second, it means the current changes so times per second back and forth, direction changes 100 times. This means the voltage change from positive to negative, and from negative to positive voltage, this process convert 50 times/second
In the European countries basically the frequency of light Is known as 60 Hz.
Note:
Frequency of Alternating current in India is 50 Hz. India has an AC supply of 50 Hz/ 220 volts. While the USA and many of the European countries have 60 Hz/110 volts supply.
