Hint: The three main functions of food in the body are growth and development, providing energy, repair and maintenance of the body's cells.

Complete step-by-step answer:
Adequate and nutritious food according to one's body requirement can be said as proper food.
Eating (also known as consuming) well is fundamental to good health and well-being. Combined with physical activity, your diet can help you to reach and maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and some cancers, and promote your overall health.
Proper food should contain carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins and also have certain antioxidant properties. It overall should improve human immunity, should increase the stamina of the human body and also it should make the person fit and healthy. Proper food should be fresh and made from all natural ingredients. Proper food includes meals like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and water, etc.
Junk food is high in fat, low in nutrition and actually bad for our health in the long run. As an example a hamburger, with good proportion of wheat, meat and salad and lettuce as vegetables sounds healthy but is not healthy. The bun is made of low and cheap quality white flour and there are hardly any vegetables in them. It is filled with heavy cheese and sauces and the meat is highly processed made from frozen meat.
Home-made dishes such as rice, gravy, boiled vegetables, and pasta can be eaten for change instead of the junk food. The other benefits of eating healthy are strong bones and teeth, better mood, healthier next generation and it also improves memory.

Note: The sugars, starches and fibers found in fruits, vegetables and milk products are carbohydrates. They help in providing energy after breaking down into fatty acids. Proteins can serve as a fuel source and are one of the building blocks of body tissue.
