Hint: In the above question we were asked to turn a number into pi or you can say that we have to put a pi in any answer. We know that the value of pi is approximately 3.141. So to solve the above problem we will use this value. Let’s get started.
Step by step solution:
We know that $\pi =\text{ }3.141$, you can even check it in your calculator.
Let us suppose that we divide pi with any number, let’s say 8, it will give us 0.3926.
When, $3.141~\div 8\text{ }=\text{ }0.3926$
Let’s just verify this.
Now, you divide $0.392\times 8=3.1408$ that means when you approximate you will get 3.141.
So we get a number in which the answer is containing pi in it.
Hence, $\dfrac{\pi }{8}=\text{ }0.3926$
We get the number which is 0.3926 as an answer with pi in it which is $\dfrac{\pi }{8}$ .
Additional Information:
The above problem is an algebraic problem that’s why we considered 3.141 as the value of pi. But in trigonometry the value of $\pi $ is ${{180}^{\circ }}$. Moreover, pi has different types of equivalent definitions but when the ratio of the circle’s circumference to the diameter is the most known definition.
Note:
For solving the above problem, we need to remember the value of pi which is 3.14159265 but we have considered only three digits after the decimal point. We can also consider every digit after the decimal point but then it would give a long solution.
